knowledge, HEALTH, and technology

Science and
technology
for  better health care

Already in 1947, the World Health Organization WHO has defined health as “a state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the absence of disease and disability”. This definition of health, which highlights mental health and social well-being, supposes that not only health professionals but also society in general, including advanced  ICT technology and targeted educational programs, should endorse the importance of healthy living and promote the adoption of behaviors favorable to health living.
